Product details

An invisible, breathable barrier that keeps rain, mud and spills from soaking into suede, nubuck, leather, canvas and fabric. Spray it on once and water beads up and rolls off instead of sinking in.

No colour change, no stiffness, no shine. One 100 ml bottle treats roughly 8–10 pairs of shoes, and works just as well on bags, jackets, sofa fabric and car seats.

See it work

Water straight from the tap.
Cola straight from the bottle.

No editing and no trick angles. Treated material under running water and under a full pour of cola — it sheets off, and what is underneath never darkens.

Tan suede under a running tap. Water runs straight off the toe.
Poured directly over the top of a treated boot.
A full bottle of cola over suede. Not a drop soaks in.

The problem

One walk through monsoon water and good suede never looks the same again.

Suede and nubuck drink water. The moment a splash lands the fibres swell, the colour goes blotchy, and a tide mark sets in as it dries. Brushing lifts the nap but it will not lift the stain.

Leather goes the other way. Water pulls the natural oils out and the surface dries stiff, then cracks along the flex lines. White canvas just turns grey from the inside.

The worst of it is not the downpour. It is the fine, constant damp in the air through the season — the kind that settles deep into porous fibres without ever looking like rain, and brings mustiness and mould with it.

None of this happens in one dramatic moment. It happens over one season, and by March the shoes you paid well for look two years older than they are.

Untreated — water soaks in
Treated suede boot with water sitting in beads on the surface
Treated — water beads up
What it does

Spray it once. The water stops getting in.

The spray lays down a microscopically thin layer that bonds to each individual fibre rather than sitting on top as a film. Water hits it, pulls itself into a bead, and rolls off. Mud, chai and oily splashes do the same.

Because it coats the fibre and not the surface, the gaps between fibres stay open and the material still breathes. Suede keeps its nap, leather keeps its give, canvas stays soft. Nothing goes shiny, nothing goes stiff, and the colour does not shift.

Blocks moisture before it gets in

The barrier works against airborne damp as well as rain, so nothing settles into the fibres in the first place.

No damp smell, no mould, no rot

Material that never gets soaked never turns musty. This is what saves shoes left in a cupboard through the rains.

Stops stains setting deep

Spills sit on the surface long enough to blot away instead of sinking in and drying as a permanent mark.

Keeps the original look

No darkening, no gloss, no change in texture — the shoe looks exactly as it did before you sprayed it.

Why this and not a polish

Four things this does that wax, polish and silicone sprays don't

Suede boot with its original colour and nap intact
01

It stays invisible

Wax and polish darken suede permanently and leave a sheen on matte leather. This dries clear — put a treated and an untreated shoe side by side and you cannot tell which is which until water lands on them.

Water beading on treated suede
02

It lets the material breathe

Silicone sprays seal the surface shut, so feet sweat and the lining stays damp. This bonds at fibre level and leaves the gaps between fibres open, so air still moves through.

Boots, shoes and a leather bag
03

One bottle, the whole house

Roughly 8–10 pairs of shoes from a single bottle, or a mix of shoes, two handbags, a jacket and the fabric on a two-seater sofa. It is not a shoe-only product.

Spraying an even coat over a shoe
04

It lasts through the season

A coat holds for roughly 4–6 weeks of regular wear, longer on items used less often. When water stops beading, spray again — no stripping, no prep, no build-up.

Where it goes

Most people buy it for shoes and then use it on six other things

Anything woven, napped or porous. If water currently soaks into it, this will hold the water out.

Suede boot under running water

Suede and nubuck shoes

Boots, loafers, Chelsea boots — the materials that stain fastest.

Canvas sneaker under running water

White canvas sneakers

Stops the grey creeping in from puddle water and road dust.

Leather jacket and handbag

Leather bags and wallets

Keeps the oils in so the surface doesn't dry out and crack.

Spraying a quilted jacket

Jackets and umbrellas

Restores the beading on raincoats that have stopped repelling.

Shoes and bags in different materials

Sofa and chair fabric

Tea, coffee and kids' spills sit on top long enough to blot away.

Suede boot

Car seats and school bags

Cloth upholstery stops holding monsoon damp, and books stay dry.

Where it will not help: this is a water repellent, not a waterproof membrane. It handles rain, splashes and spills. It will not keep your feet dry if you stand in a flooded street, and it cannot reverse a stain or a crack that is already there. Treat it as prevention on items still in good condition.

Worth knowing

Do it before the season, not after the first soaking

A coat applied to shoes that are still clean and dry does its whole job. A coat applied after the first wet week seals in whatever already got in. Ten minutes on a dry Sunday is the entire difference.

10 minutes a pair

Two light coats with a ten-minute wait between them. No buffing, no brushes, no mess.

8–10 pairs per bottle

Most households treat every pair they own and still have enough left for two bags and a jacket.

₹60–75 a pair

Against the cost of replacing one ruined pair of suede shoes, which is where most people are by February.

How to use it

Four steps, about ten minutes a pair

Nearly every complaint about sprays like this comes down to one of two things — spraying onto a dirty surface, or skipping the second coat. Both are handled below.

Wiping a boot clean with a cloth
STEP 1

Clean and dry

Shake the bottle well. Brush off dust and let the item dry completely — spraying over damp or dirty material seals the dirt in.

Spraying an even coat over a boot
STEP 2

Spray evenly

Hold the bottle about 20 cm away and cover the whole surface in light passes. Outdoors or in a well-ventilated room.

Boot drying in a ventilated area
STEP 3

Wait 10 minutes

Leave it somewhere airy. Don't dry it in direct sun or with a hairdryer.

Applying a second even coat
STEP 4

Spray again

One more even pass, then leave it to cure. Full strength is reached after a few hours.

Always test on a small hidden patch first — inside the tongue of a shoe, or under a bag flap.

What buyers ask us

Will it change the colour of my suede?

No. It dries completely clear and leaves no sheen. That said, every material behaves slightly differently, so spray a small hidden patch first — inside the tongue of a shoe, or under the flap of a bag — and let it dry before doing the whole item.

How long does one bottle last?

Roughly 8–10 pairs of shoes, doing two coats on each as directed. If you are treating bags, a jacket and sofa fabric as well, expect fewer items overall since those have more surface area.

Does it make shoes fully waterproof?

No, and we would rather say so now than have you disappointed. It is a water repellent. Rain, splashes, puddle spray and spills bead up and roll off. Standing in deep water for several minutes will still get through — no spray changes that.

Will my shoes still breathe?

Yes. The coating bonds to individual fibres instead of forming a sheet across the surface, so the gaps in the weave stay open and air still moves through. This is the main difference from cheap silicone sprays, which seal the surface and leave feet sweating.

Does it help with the damp smell in the rainy season?

Indirectly, yes. Most of that smell comes from moisture sitting in the material. If water never soaks in, the material does not stay damp, and shoes stored in a cupboard through the monsoon do not turn musty. It is not a deodoriser — it works by keeping the moisture out in the first place.

Can it fix shoes that are already stained or cracked?

It cannot. This prevents damage, it does not repair it. If your suede already has a water mark or your leather has dried and cracked, the spray will protect them from here on but it will not undo what is there.

How often do I need to reapply?

About every 4–6 weeks for shoes in daily use, longer for items you use occasionally. The test is simple: flick a few drops of water on. If they bead and sit, you are covered. If they sink in, it is time for another coat.

Is it safe to use indoors?

Use it outdoors or in a well-ventilated room — an open balcony or near an open window is ideal. Keep it away from children and pets while you are spraying and until the item is dry.

Will it work on white sneakers?

Yes, and canvas is one of the materials it helps most. It will not whiten shoes that are already grey, but applied to clean white canvas it keeps dirty water from soaking into the weave, so they stay white far longer.

How long will delivery take?

Orders are dispatched within 24 hours. Most addresses in India receive the parcel in 4 to 8 working days. Remote pin codes and public holidays can add a few days.

What if the bottle arrives leaking or damaged?

Email lincocart.store@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and a photo, and we will send a free replacement.
